While Vigata and Montelusa are fictional names on paper, they come alive in the real-world geography of Agrigento and Porto Empedocle. This exclusive tour guides you through the authentic streets, historic landmarks, and coastal settings that shaped the world of Inspector Salvo Montalbano and his unforgettable police squad—including Mimì Augello, Fazio, Gallo, Galluzzo, and the eccentric station operator, Catarella.

Your Tailored Itinerary

Custom Departure: Your private driver will collect you directly from your preferred location (including Messina, Catania, Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Palermo, Milazzo, Siracusa, Ragusa, Reggio Calabria, or Porto Empedocle).
Montelusa (Agrigento): Our exploration begins in the heart of Agrigento, the real-world counterpart to Montelusa. We will visit Piazza San Francesco, the birthplace of Camilleri's creative vision, and the local Police Headquarters (Questura).
The Terracotta Dog Landmarks: A stroll down Via Atenea leads us to the Santo Spirito Library, where Montalbano uncovered the clues to solving one of his most famous cases.
Journey through Vigata (Porto Empedocle): After a brief transit through Villaseta (The Snack Thief), we reach Porto Empedocle. Here, you will see the landscapes that inspired the novel's descriptions: the old factories, the lighthouse, Salita Granet, and the unique flat coastal rocks.
Maritime Views & Literary Cafés: We will pause at the historic Tower of Charles V before heading to the pier for a panoramic view of the coastline. The Seaside Finale: The journey concludes with a visit to the iconic Marinella beach (home to Montalbano’s seaside house) and the breathtaking white cliffs of the Scala dei Turchi.

All tours begin and end at the place and time established by the customer. Prices are per person. Within our vehicles is available for all our customers, free of charge, a minibar with cool drinks and snacks. The entrances to museums and other art venues, meals and tips are not included.

* 50% of your total amount if you cancel from 2 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 70% of your total amount if you cancel 1 day prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 100% of your total amount if you cancel less than 1 day prior to your scheduled arrival date or No show.
